About Vancouver Centre for Homeopathy

Since opening our doors over 35 years ago, we’ve improved the lives of thousands of people of all ages and from all walks of life.

Our holistic approach has successfully treated recurring conditions such as colds, flus and earaches. We’ve also had success treating serious lung, heart, and digestive diseases, as well as a gamut of mental illnesses from anxiety to depression.

Locally, we’re known in the homeopathic community as founders of the Vancouver Homeopathic Academy where most of the city’s homeopaths were taught. We’ve taught hundreds of students (and other homeopaths) from all over the world through clinics, workshops and lectures.

We’re all members of international homeopathic organizations, and lifetime students, forever staying abreast of — and contributing to — the exciting developments in the ever-evolving field of homeopathic healing.

Kim Boutilier

RSHom (NA), CCH

Kim came upon homeopathy in 1990 during a serious illness. Conventional medicine and naturopathy weren’t working. To her surprise (and that of her doctors) homeopathy did!

She began to explore the topic with a passion. When she read the “Science of Homeopathy”, it stirred her soul so deeply that it changed the course of her life.

In 1994, she helped found the Vancouver Homeopathic Academy, one of North America’s most respected schools of classical homeopathy, where she taught and mentored many of our city’s homeopaths.

As a classical homeopath, she’s helped countless others discover the freedom of total health.

Today she is part of the Mentorship Program of the Northwestern Academy of Homeopathy in the U.S.

Please note that Kim is not taking new clients at this time.

Laurie Dack

RSHom, (NA), CCH

One day, while sitting in a waiting room, Laurie picked up a book and fell in love. It was a copy of Kent’s “Lectures on Homeopathic Philosophy”. That was over 35 years ago.

Since then, she’s studied, taught and lectured about homeopathy. She’s also dedicated her life to its practice. In her words, “I see remarkable transformations all the time, sometimes several in one day.”

Laurie has been a teacher at the Northwestern Academy of Homeopathy in Minnesota for over 20 years. She also taught at the Vancouver Homeopathic Academy during its reign. In addition, she’s shared successful case stories to audiences the world over – England, Germany, Switzerland and India among the destinations.

That book — “Lectures on Homeopathic Philosophy” — changed her life.  Over the years, it also helped her change the lives of others.

Tina Spathis

Tina spent over 20 years as a nurse working in hospitals here and abroad. The frustration of watching patients suffer from chronic illness, and not get better, led her to search for something better. She found it in homeopathy when her daughter took ill with chickenpox. She’s since become an avid student and practitioner.

Tina graduated from the Vancouver Homeopathic Academy in 2009 with a focus on treating families. She then attended post-graduate studies in paediatric homeopathy with Dr. Sunil Anand. She has extensive experience in adolescent care. She also continues to expand on her knowledge by pursuing an interest in orthopaedic, trauma, cardiology and respiratory medicines.

On her free time, Tina volunteers with Side-by-Side Homeopathy, an organization that provides free homeopathic care to women in the Downtown Eastside.

Susan Gimbel

DIHom, RSHom (NA), CCH

Susan discovered homeopathy while living in India where it’s widely practiced. There, she witnessed and experienced its healing first-hand.

Intrigued, she read “Kent’s Lectures on Homeopathic Philosophy.” His holistic approach immediately resonated with her and a passion was born. She studied with the British Institute of Homeopathy and with some of our generation’s masters: Jeremy Sherr, Jan Scholten, Rajan Sankaran.

Thirty years later, she’s an accomplished and sought-after homeopath herself. She also spent 17 years teaching at the Vancouver Homeopathic Academy.

Today Susan lives overseas and sees clients on-line.

Lianne South

Lianne has always had a calling for alternative medicine and has been licensed as a Chiropractor and Naturopathic Physician in the past. Once she discovered Homeopathy, she felt like it was coming home, and it was a passion she had to pursue — and starting from the mid-80’s it was pursued vigorously!

Lianne studied her craft at the Hahnemann Homeopathic College in Berkeley, the Dynamis School for Advanced Homeopathic Studies in Toronto and Scotland, the Jayesh Shah school in San Francisco, as well as the Bombay school in India. In addition, she taught Homeopathy and Clinical Pathology for 15 years at the Vancouver Homeopathic Academy.

She’s been fortunate to spend the past 30 years practicing and is still amazed at the wonderful healing art of Classical Homeopathy.

“I have been receiving homeopathic care from the practitioners at the Vancouver Centre for Homeopathy for 15 years. When I first began I had been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis and was severely crippled with pain and inflammation in most of my joints. The medical treatment was very strong steroid and immune suppressant medication with was very difficult on my overall health. I felt I was in a loop between the side effects of the medication and the severity of the inflammation, I didn’t know where to turn. Through ‘care – full’ , gentle, completely safe homeopathic treatment I quickly started to have less pain and less inflammation. The process continued and I am happy to say that I have been pain free and inflammation free for many, many years. My overall health has never been better! Thank you homeopathy!”
